The drive mechanism of a roller shutter can be either manual or electric.
In the case of simple and economical manual control mechanisms, strap is usually used for mounted rollers or cord for external rollers. For slightly heavier rolls, strap combined with a reducer is recommended.
As another manual alternative, for even heavier rolls, there is usually the well-known crank. The pole is detachable and, unlike other manual systems, is not damaged by frequent use.
